Disability, Ageing and Lifestyle Expo on today at the Adelaide Showgrounds
The 2015 Disability, Ageing and Lifestyle Expo will showcase the latest disability and ageing information, products and services at the Adelaide Showground's Goyder Pavilion today from 11am to 8pm.
Minister for Ageing, Zoe Bettison, said the Expo, themed My Life, My Choice, will provide information and advice to older South Australians and people of all ages living with disability.
"This year's Expo includes exhibitors including aged care services, advocacy, disability support services, education, employment, equipment and mobility," Ms Bettison said.
"Equipment will be available for demonstration and staff will be ready to offer advice on a range of services including disability services, home support for older people, carer support and specialised services for children and youth.
"This really is a good opportunity to road test a range of supports and services that help South Australians maintain wellbeing and mobility.
"I encourage everyone with an interest in disability and ageing services to attend today's expo in the Goyder Pavilion."
For the first time, the Expo has extended its opening hours to 8pm to make this important event accessible to more people.
The Expo is hosted by the Seniors Information Service and focuses on improving the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of people living with disability and older South Australians.
The Department for Communities and Social Inclusion will be on hand to provide advice on services to help improve the lives of older South Australians, people living with disability and their carers.
Entry is by gold coin donation.
