Changes to DHS Domiciliary Care
The State Government announced in February that Domiciliary Care services in metropolitan Adelaide would be moved to non-government management.
Since the announcement, a comprehensive process has been conducted to find a new provider for Domiciliary Care. As a result of that process, the Royal District Nursing Service – part of the Silver Chain Group – will become the new provider of Domiciliary Care’s services.
RDNS SA is a highly respected not-for-profit community health and aged care provider and demonstrated during the selection process that it could meet all of the State Government’s conditions, including maintaining Domiciliary Care’s quality standards, and capacity to expand aged care services in our state.
Appointing RDNS SA as the new non-government provider will ensure Domiciliary Care’s services and support for our valued clients and their families will continue well into the future. The management transfer will be completed by June 2018.
