Red Cross Sampson Flat bushfire register to close

The Register, Find, Reunite service operated by Red Cross throughout the Sampson Flat bushfire will close at 7pm tonight.

The service was set up to take phone calls and internet registrations from people impacted by the bushfires and those wanting to enquire about loved ones who might have been affected by the fire.

Communities and Social Inclusion Minister Zoe Bettison said Red Cross has informed her that registrations and enquiries have slowed and they have decided to close the service.

"Register, Find, Reunite plays an important role in connecting loved ones in an emergency," Ms Bettison said

"The service helps family and friends to reconnect if they have been separated and have been out of phone or email contact during an emergency."

Anyone with general enquires regarding the Sampson Flat bushfire, can call Bushfire Recovery Hotline on 1800 302 787 or visit for more information.
