Boost for regional domestic violence services
2017-07-05

The YWCA will receive $99,907 for its Equipping Regional Communities to Prevent Violence Against Women project as part of the Crime Prevention and Community Safety Grants Program.
The project will expand on YWCA Adelaide’s award-winning work in violence prevention, by expanding Bystander Intervention into regional communities including the South East, Iron Triangle and Eyre Peninsula. Bystander Intervention workshops educate men and women about positive intervention strategies to foster safe workplaces and communities.
More than $700,000 in funding to projects across South Australia has been awarded in the latest round of Crime Prevention and Community Safety Grants. Grants of up to $100,000 were available to programs that seek to prevent crime and reduce youth offending in South Australia.
