Domestic and Family Violence roundtable in Adelaide
More than 40 representatives will attend a roundtable event in Adelaide on Friday 13 April, focusing on domestic and family violence in South Australia.
The roundtable is the first of a planned series across the state, and will be attended by Minister for Human Services Michelle Lensink as well as Attorney-General, Vickie Chapman and Assistant Minister for the Prevention of Family Violence, Carolyn Habib.
A range of issues are expected to be discussed, including funding a peak body for Domestic and Family Violence Services, trialling a Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme (DVDS) to be led by the Attorney-General’s Department, more crisis accommodation and a 24/7 crisis line, and regional safety hubs.
Future events will focus on issues specific to each region.
