The SA Fire and Emergency Service Commission today provided the following information about Alert SA services:
“On 6 January 2018, the Alert SA App experienced significant performance issues which resulted in the non-display and provision of notifications and warnings to the community.
The Alert SA service provider has failed to provide the Emergency Services Sector with confidence of the solutions reliability to provide safety information to the community.
As a result, commencing Wednesday 10 January 2018 Alert SA App users are instructed to delete the App from their device which will cease to display incidents and warning messages.
The Alert SA App will be removed from app stores.
The Alert SA website will remain until the 15 June 2018, and work is currently underway to decommission and redirect users to other public information sources.
