SA Bushfire Appeal Community Strength and Resilience Initiative - round two applications open
SA Bushfire Appeal applications for community groups and organisations are now open for the second and final round.
Non-profit community groups and organisations can apply to the Community Strength and Resilience Initiative for up to $20,000 until 11 September 2020.
Projects must:
- build strength and resilience in communities affected by the fire, or
- rebuild or replace community infrastructure or equipment used by affected communities.
Donations are being distributed
The Community Strength and Resilience Initiative has already distributed more than $820,000 from donations to the SA Bushfire Appeal to community organisations. Funding was given to 10 projects on Kangaroo Island and 12 in the Cudlee Creek area.
Over $7.3 million in SA Bushfire Appeal funds has been provided to families and businesses who experienced loss as a result of the fires.
The gift payments are part of the $9 million generously donated to the SA Bushfire Appeal following the devastating bushfires, which included a $2 million contribution from the State Government.
