Australia Day 26 January 2021

Tomorrow, on 26 January 2021, Australia will have a scheduled public holiday and some will choose to celebrate this as Australia Day.

Department of Human Services acknowledges that this is also a day that holds a different significance for many Aboriginal communities, including a commemoration of survival and mourning for losses.

We respectfully acknowledge this and continue to work towards reconciliation and truth telling for First Nations Peoples.

Australia Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal land.
