As we enter the winter months, South Australians are again being urged to do their homework to see if they’re eligible to take up the SA Concession Energy Discount Offer (SACEDO) that is driving down energy bills, resulting in up to hundreds of dollars in savings.
More than 150,000 South Australian eligible households are currently missing out on 21 per cent off* the electricity reference price in a deal negotiated by the State Government and Origin Energy.
A total of 65,000 low-and-fixed income South Australian households are currently accessing the offer.
In addition to the discount offer, eligible South Australians can also access the State Government’s annual energy concession of up to $231.41 during 2020–21.
The deal is no doubt welcome relief for South Australian households as the winter months arrive and people switch on their heaters to keep warm.
Eligibility criteria for the SACEDO offer:
- Customers must be receiving the State Government’s energy concession.
- Customers include those who hold particular concession cards, or receive Centrelink payments such as JobSeeker Payment, Austudy, ABSTUDY, and the parenting payment.
New customers can discuss with Origin Energy. Phone 1300 791 465.
