To: National Disability Insurance Scheme Providers

From: Professor Nicola Spurrier, Chief Public Health Officer

Subject: Mask wearing

Date: Thursday, 26 November 2020

In response to the outbreak of the human disease COVID-19, as Chief Public Health Officer for South Australia, I require that all workers delivering National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports to NDIS Participants wear a mask while undertaking duties where physical distancing of 1.5 metres between the worker and the NDIS Participant cannot be maintained.

This is effective immediately and will be a matter for each organisation and business to implement, monitor and maintain.

This is in addition to any applicable emergency directives issued under the Emergency Services Act 2004.

This requirement is currently in place until and including Monday 14 December 2020.

Signed: Professor Nicola Spurrier, Chief Public Health Officer, SA Health.
