COVID-19 Update – Greater Brisbane visitor restrictions
The South Australian Government has announced a hard border closure with restricted zones in Queensland, due to a number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Greater Brisbane.
This means that people who have been in a declared Queensland restricted zone in the past 14 days cannot visit South Australia’s disability care or residential aged care facilities for specific lengths of time.
You can find out more information about these restrictions with the latest Emergency Management (Cross Border Travel - General) (COVID-19) Direction and its Cross Border Travel – Associated Direction No 1 listing affected zones is available on the South Australian Government COVID website.
During this period, Accommodation Services staff will be asking all visitors to homes and Northgate Aged Care Facility about recent travel and whether that has included travelling from Queensland’s restricted zone.
Queensland restricted zone currently includes cities of Brisbane, Ipswich, Logan, Redland and the Moreton Bay Region.
