The South Australian Volunteer Awards are on again, recognising the achievements of volunteers, volunteer managers, community organisations and businesses.
In 2020 four awards will be presented to outstanding South Australians and local businesses for their committed contribution to volunteering:
- The Joy Noble Medal is South Australia’s highest distinction for recognising the outstanding efforts of an individual volunteer.
- The Premier’s Business Award for Corporate Social Responsibility recognises the contribution of South Australian businesses to the community, through supporting volunteer work.
- ‘The Andamooka’ Community Project Award recognises innovative community projects.
- Excellence in Volunteer Management Award recognises volunteer managers for their contribution.
These awards are the Government of South Australia’s way of acknowledging and appreciating the accomplishments of more than 905,000 South Australians who give their time to volunteering. It is an important way to keep volunteers involved, committed and active, and to promote volunteering in the South Australian community.
Nominations for the 2020 South Australian Volunteer Awards are open until 3 April 2020. The awards will be presented at the South Australian Volunteer Thank You event on 8 June 2020.
