Open Government

DHS, in partnership with the Australian Government, supports accountable, responsible and inclusive governance. We promote transparency and empowerment to citizens, fight corruption and harness new technologies to strengthen governance.

The South Australian Government makes available to all members of the community information that is regularly requested under the Freedom of Information Act 1991 (FOI). The Government acknowledges the information it holds is a valuable public resource and is committed to:

  • being open and accountable
  • engaging with the community, and
  • public participation in the making of decisions, policies, and laws.

SA Cabinet approved the online publication of information regularly requested under FOI in April 2013. In September 2013, Cabinet approved Premier and Cabinet Circular Minister and Chief Executive with responsibility for the Department of Human Services.
