General

The 7NEWS Young Achiever Awards play an important role in encouraging and promoting the positive achievements of all young people throughout South Australia.

The Department of Human Services has begun the search for young individuals under 29, to be nominated and awarded in the Department of Human Services sponsored categories.

Aboriginal Achievement Award

The award recognises contributions to the Aboriginal and/or broader community, barriers overcome, leadership skills and cultural achievements. These passionate and dedicated young Aboriginal people make a real difference to our South Australian communities.

Pride Award

The Award recognises contributions to LGBTIQA+ communities and to society as-a-whole, including leadership and exceptional performance. Nominations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people living with a disability and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encouraged to help celebrate the full diversity of LGBTIQA+ communities.

Nominate a candidate

Category winners will each receive $2,000 in prizes, along with a trophy, and one category winners will be chosen at the 2022 South Australian Young Achiever of the Year!

We encourage you to support our young achievers by making a nomination or spreading the word. Nominations close Monday 13 December 2021.
