DHS Disability Services

We're committed to supporting South Australians with disability to live the life you choose in your home and community. Our person-centred philosophy of 'Everything about you, with you' influences every decision we make, and our decisions are made in consultation with you. Our staff will listen to you, work with you and be there for you.

Our services

Whether you need a place to call home, specialised allied health support, or help with managing your supports, we’re here to support you.

  • Home and Living
Our support options give you the choice to live alone, or share supports with other people. We can help you to find suitable housemates who may share interests or have compatible support needs.
  • Disability Aged Care
We support older South Australians with disability to live as independently as possible, supported by a team of dedicated disability support workers.
  • Support Coordination
If you have a lot of different supports to juggle, specialist support coordination helps everything to work together.
  • Allied Health
We offer a range of allied health services in addition to our home and living supports including Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Dietetics.
  • Behaviour Support
Our specialist behaviour support practitioners are here to help you explore and understand your behaviours. We work with you to create a plan to help you be a part of your community in a safe and positive way.
  • Nursing
Our community nursing team comes to your home to provide the expert care and support you need.
  • Transition to Home
Transition to Home provides short-term housing and support for eligible NDIS participants who are ready to leave hospital.
  • Equipment
Assistive technology and equipment are tools that help you do things you can’t do because of your disability. They may also help you do something more easily or safely. Depending on your situation, you might be able to buy or rent the items you need.
