Department of Human Services

Disability SA

Disability Transition Unit

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) now funds disability services, giving people living with a disability the choice and control over who provides their services.

Disability services provided by the Department of Human Services (DHS) have been changing in response.

Disability SA – Community Services had long provided community support and specialist services to children and adults with disability, their families and carers from offices located throughout South Australia. All metropolitan offices have closed and we no longer provide state funded Disability Community Services.

Clients who have transitioned to NDIS Plans, may still be assisted by an interim Disability Transition Unit which will be winding down during 2020.

You can contact your local NDIS or LAC office.
