South Australia's Week of Ageing Well begins on 1 October every year and is a celebration of living and ageing well.
The aims of the week include:
- Encouraging people of all ages to connect with each other and have conversations about ageing well.
- Supporting a deeper understanding of what ageing well means across the state and highlighting the roles we all play in supporting each other to live and age well.
- Promoting activities that support us to live happy and meaningful lives.
- Supporting organisations, groups and community members to host events.
- Raising awareness about ageism, diversity and accessibility.
The Week of Ageing Well is brought to you by DHS's Office for Ageing Well team and Seniors Card.
