Grants available to help smaller community organisations achieve greater social impact

A new grants round is available to help not-for-profits with an annual revenue of less than $3 million achieve greater social impact.

Aboriginal Community Controlled organisations, certified social enterprises and other incorporated community-based groups can apply for a grant of up to $10,000 and use it for:

  • Establishment or expansion of community gardens for locally grown seasonal fruits and vegetables.
  • Materials and resources for programs that enable, encourage, and/or increase participation in community activities.
  • Equipment purchases to establish or improve a program or a facility to ensure it is a safe space for all participants/community members. Examples include IT equipment, digital technology, catering equipment, furniture, and air conditioning.
  • Minor upgrades to infrastructure to encourage community participation, especially in regional and remote areas. Examples include disability access upgrades or inclusions, counselling rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and community spaces.

Previous successful applicants

Previous successful applicants have included:

  • Community House Port Lincoln supporting older people to increase their digital literacy
  • Backpacks 4 SA Kids to purchase workplace health and safety equipment for their warehouse
  • Macclesfield Community Association to build an accessible path and sensory trail at Crystal Lake Park.

The Grants SA 2023/24 Social Impact (Round 2) is open now, with applications closing at 3:00 pm on Thursday 4 April 2024.
