Nominations for the 7News Young Achiever Awards 2024 are open and the search for outstanding young people in South Australia is on.

Nominate a young person, or a youth-led group, in the categories of Aboriginal Achievement, Pride Award, Community Service, Business, Leadership, Technology, Workplace Safety or Environment.

The winner of the South Australian Young Achiever of the Year will be announced at the awards ceremony on 17 May.

Last year’s winners were an inspiration to many young people, and their prize winnings have supported them to continue their great work. The 2023 Aboriginal Achievement Award winner Shania Richards, was the first female Aboriginal Youth Governor of South Australia. Shania continues to advocate for the community as a Councillor with the City of Port Lincoln. The 2023 Pride Award winner, Lucy Solonsch, is an advocate for LGBTQIA+ community and her work aims to raise collective knowledge and understanding to help clinicians provide better care to LGBTQIA+ people.
