First-ever SA Women's Week is coming up - Let's 'March Forward'

8 March 2025 will mark the 30-year anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the most progressive and widely endorsed blueprint for women’s and girls’ rights worldwide.
To celebrate this special date, the Office for Women and the Premier’s Council for Women are launching the first-ever SA Women’s Week from 1 to 8 March, a week-long program of events to be held simultaneously across South Australia, to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women and girls, spark dialogue and inspire community to take action to advance gender equality.
‘March Forward’
SA Women’s Week supports this year’s UN Women Australia International Women’s Day theme – ‘March Forward: It's time to turn promises into progress’ – which highlights that progress is not just about reflection, but about taking bold, decisive steps to turn our commitments into action.
Whether you're an individual, an organisation, a business owner, or part of an educational organisation, there are countless ways to support women and girls on International Women's Day.
Download the SA Women’s Week poster (PDF 406.6 KB), print it out and spread the voice within your organisation and community.
Upload your events and register
Community groups and organisations are invited to take part in SA Women’s Week by uploading their own International Women’s Day events in the SA Women’s Week calendar.
SA Women’s Week events are available to general public and will include a list of specially discounted Fringe shows to celebrate SA women artists and performers.
