Week of Ageing Well 2026

Communities across SA celebrated ageing well together from 1 to 7 October in 2026.

South Australians of all ages were encouraged to build social connections through a vibrant calendar of events, including exhibitions, live performances, arts festivals, interactive information sessions, documentary screenings, movement and wellbeing activities.

With over 70 events taking place across metropolitan Adelaide as well as every region across the whole of regional South Australia, the Week of Ageing Well calendar showcased the diversity of communities across the state. From large-scale community celebrations and cultural events to local gatherings, workshops and wellbeing activities in regional centres, there were opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect, participate and age well.
