Exceptional Needs Unit Training and Development Support Grants

The Department of Human Services, through its Exceptional Needs Unit (ENU), is boosting the capacity of frontline organisations to support South Australians with exceptional needs.

The ENU provides Training and Development Support Grants of up to $10,000 for community-based, not-for-profit or Aboriginal-led organisations in metropolitan and regional areas that work directly with exceptional needs clients.

The grants aim to boost staff knowledge, skills and capacity to effectively help their clients overcome difficult and overlapping issues. Better meeting the needs of Aboriginal clients in a culturally safe and appropriate way is a key focus of the grants program.

The grants are being offered annually in 2022, 2023 and 2024, representing a State Government investment of $750,000 over three years.

Application dates for the 2024 Exceptional Needs Unit Training and Development Support Grants will be announced in early 2024.
