Share your feedback to prevent suicide in South Australia

General

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking your feedback on our first draft Suicide Prevention Action Plan. This plan is being crafted in collaboration with staff, community members, organisations and key stakeholders like you.

A collective effort to support our staff and community

As one of ten state government agencies working on a Suicide Prevention Action Plan, our collective efforts will contribute to the goals of the South Australian Suicide Prevention Plan 2023–2026. Each department’s plan will play a part in preventing suicide among the people they support and work with.

Our focus is to improve the wellbeing of our staff and the South Australians we support, while working in partnership with other government agencies, non-government organisations, and people with lived experience to enhance suicide prevention efforts state-wide.

Your feedback matters

Visit the YourSAy consultation page to read the draft and share your feedback via an anonymous survey.

We’d like to hear what suicide prevention looks like to you, and how can we work together to achieve the best outcomes for those who need support.

Deadline for consultation

The consultation period is open until 28 April 2025.

All feedback will be carefully considered, and the final plan will be available on the DHS website and on the YourSAY consultation page.
