Social Impact Grants (Round 2) open
Community organisations across South Australia can apply for a new round of Social Impact Grants.
Up to $1 million is available to support projects that help people feel more connected, included and supported in their communities.
There are two funding options:
- up to $10,000 for equipment and resources
- up to $30,000 for building upgrades or running programs.
Helping local communities thrive
The grants support simple, practical projects that make a real difference. Priority is given to projects that support people facing disadvantage or other challenges.
In the first round of 2025–26, funding supported a wide range of local ideas. These included:
- training programs for people with disability
- support groups for women recovering from domestic violence
- upgrades to community spaces in metro and regional areas.
A real example of impact
In Gawler East, The Salvation Army used a Social Impact Grant to upgrade its Play Café.
The space was small and could only fit about 16 people. After the upgrade, it can now welcome up to 40 people at a time. The café is now a bright and open space where families can meet, play and connect. It also gives people easier access to support services.
More than 300 people have already benefited from the new space.
This shows how small projects can make a big difference in local communities.
Apply now
Organisations with ideas to support their communities are encouraged to apply.
Applications close on 11 June 2026.
