The Child and Family Support System (CFSS) is a system of services and supports designed to keep children safe and well at home, connected to family, community and culture.
One in three children born in South Australia is reported to the Department for Child Protection by age 10 with concerns about their safety and wellbeing. Many of these families face a range of challenges that can make parenting harder. A range of services are available to help parents get the right support at the right time, so children can grow up safe and well.
Our department funds and delivers early family support services and programs in partnership with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and non-government organisations. Our services are tailored to address different parenting needs.
The CFSS is based on research, evidence and quality practice. We are committed to providing culturally safe and trauma-informed services to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.
