Minister's Advisory Councils

The three Minister’s Advisory Councils (MACs) for Youth, Disability and LGBTIQA+ were formed in 2022 as part of the State Government’s commitment to giving these communities a direct voice to government.

Council members meet four times a year with the Minister for Human Services, the Hon. Nat Cook, to share their life experience, knowledge and expertise, and to provide strategic advice on key issues, legislation and policies.

Being a council member offers valuable networking opportunities, professional development, and direct access to decision-makers. Council members are also compensated for their time and service.

Appointment of members takes place through the submission of an Expression of Interest.
