Minister's Advisory Councils

In 2022, three Minister’s Advisory Councils (MACs) were created – Youth, Disability and LGBTIQA+.

The Councils meet quarterly. Members share their life experience, knowledge and expertise, and contribute to shape government policy, strategy and legislation.

Appointment of members took place through the submission of an Expression of Interest and selection panels were formed for each MAC, comprising the Chief Executive of DHS and key sector leaders.
