New Inclusive SA actions addressing safety, rights and justice, and health and wellbeing for people living with disability
It has been three years since the implementation of our Inclusive SA: State Disability Inclusion Plan 2019–2023, which outlined a set of actions for improving access and inclusion for the 1 in 5 South Australians living with disability.
An interim review of this plan has looked at what improvements are needed to better address the social, political and environmental changes affecting South Australians living with disability.
This interim review supports our initial response to Australia’s Disability Strategy and sets the foundation for the next iteration of Inclusive SA beyond 2023.
This review enables:
- realignment with Australia’s Disability Strategy 2021–2031 (ADS)
- responds to the health and wellbeing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic
- improvement of existing actions to better reflect community need.
The review has identified improvements to Inclusive SA actions in the areas of safety, rights and justice, and health and wellbeing. There are now 34 Inclusive SA actions for State Government agencies and local councils to deliver through their individual Disability Access and Inclusion Plans (DAIPs) and consider in their reviews.
Learn about out these improvements and more in the State Disability Inclusion Plan 2019–2023, Interim Review 2022.Page last updated : 18 Oct 2022
