Dear sector colleagues,
From last Saturday, 29 January 2022, updated directions came into effect for:
- In-home, community aged care and disability workers vaccination
- Residential Aged Care
- Healthcare setting workers vaccination.
These directions provide clarity about the timing of boosters, particularly for those who have recently recovered from COVID-19.
If you have recently tested positive for COVID-19, you must have evidence of a booking to have your booster dose within four months of your positive test or your second vaccine dose, whichever is later.
All others must have evidence of receiving their booster or a booking to have their booster within four months of their second vaccine dose.
People in South Australia aged 18 years and over are eligible to receive the booster dose three months after the second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. The four-month window allows for a one-month grace period after becoming eligible.
Vaccination bookings can be made via the SA Health website. You can use walk-in appointments at all SA Health clinics, which provide priority access, where possible. When you attend the clinic, it is recommended you take your staff ID to the concierge or front desk.
Ngaityalya (Kaurna, thank you)
