DHS Suicide Prevention Action Plan

The Department of Human Services (DHS) is building its first Suicide Prevention Action Plan. This plan is being crafted in collaboration with staff, community members, organisations and key stakeholders.

As one of ten state government agencies working on a Suicide Prevention Action Plan, our collective efforts will contribute to the goals of the South Australian Suicide Prevention Plan 2023–2026. Each department’s plan will play a part in preventing suicide among the people they support and work with.

The focus of the plan is to improve the wellbeing of our staff and the South Australians we support, while working with other government agencies, non-government organisations, and people with lived experience to enhance suicide prevention efforts state-wide.
