2	We will support the implementation of action 16 in Inclusive SA, and support the work of Department for Infrastructure and Transport to elevate the design quality of built environment and public realms through promoting design quality policy and the principles of Universal Design. We will do this for owned buildings by: Reviewing access to buildings for people with disability on an annual basis Including access assessments in the Asset Management Plan documentation Consider and where possible implement universal design principles for any upgrades or refits.
Target All refits, minor works or new works incorporate elements which support access for people with disability. Access reviews are undertaken annually. Asset Management Plan template is reviewed and includes access criteria. Asset Management Plans for buildings are reviewed and identify access and inclusion issues to be prioritised for resolution.
