SA Youth Week

SA Youth Week (SAYW) is South Australia’s biggest celebration of young people aged 12 to 25. Held each year, SAYW recognises the ideas, talents and contributions of young people in South Australia and includes a wide range of events and activities created by and for young people.

SAYW 2025 will take place mainly during the school holidays from Wednesday 9 April to Thursday 17 April 2025.

SA Youth Week 2025 Grants

Each year, the state government offers one-off grants to local councils and not-for-profit organisations to host events and activities for young people during SA Youth Week.

Grant applications for SA Youth Week 2025 have closed. Recipients will be notified in early 2025.

In 2024, young South Australians tried their hand at a huge range of activities, including African drumming, yoga, a Youth Mob tree climb, a dance tournament, painting and an Amazing Race event centred on mental wellbeing – just to name a few! A particular highlight was a state-wide consultation tour with the United Nations Youth Australia representative for SA.
