We are partnered with 5 Alliances, to service the complex and evolving needs of clients experiencing or at risk of homelessness across South Australia. There are 4 regional homelessness alliances, and 1 state-wide domestic and family violence alliance. This arrangement began on 1 July 2021.
The Alliance approach involves multiple groups coming together to build a more connected and organised way of delivering services. Instead of having many separate programs and contracts, there will now be larger groups working in coordination, both across the whole system and in local areas.
Everyone involved in the Alliance, including the Department of Human Services, is expected to act as a team. This means sharing responsibility for results, making decisions together, and always focusing on what’s best for the people they support—not just what’s best for their own organisation.
