Community programs

There are lots of ways to connect with your community where you can meet other families and learn about helpful ways to raise your children.

We have staff located across South Australia who coordinate family and parenting programs, workshops, events, groups and services for children and their families in your local community.

You can get involved in any of the programs and services in your area. These may include:

  • being part of family and parenting programs to support your children’s wellbeing and development
  • connecting with other parents and caregivers to share your parenting journey
  • attending community events, workshops and seminars
  • joining in community projects
  • accessing parenting resources.

Connect with us

Many of our staff are based in children’s centres. To get in contact with your local community development coordinator, find a children's centre in your area.

You can also email us at dhs.communitydevelopmentcoordinators@sa.gov.au. Let us know what suburb you live in, the ages of your children and we will connect you with the programs and groups near you.
