Event description :
On Saturday 5 April at the University of Adelaide come and join young people from across South Australia to explore the many ways in which young people are already having a positive impact and leading change.
The Youth Impact Summit will not only celebrate the impact these young people are having but will inspire ideas for ways other young people attending can work together to bring about greater positive impact in their local communities.
The Summit will feature:
- panels of young changemakers having an impact
- table talks led by youth presenters who will showcase real-life examples of how they’re having a positive impact throughout communities in SA; and
- opportunities to meet decision makers (including politicians) who are committed to helping bring about the changes young South Australians want to see.
Not only will the day be lots of fun, there’ll also be info stalls, bands, food trucks (free food), hands-on learning opportunities and much more to explore!
The day will finish with a wrap-up session in which young people will be invited to share their ideas on ways we can all work together for greater youth impact in SA!
If you’re a young changemaker or a young person keen to make a difference, then this is an event you won't want to miss!
Who should attend?
The Youth Impact Summit is for:
- Young South Australians between the ages of 12 and 25 who would like to be part of action that will have a positive impact on their local community. This includes young people living in regional/rural and outback locations across the State.
- Young people currently collaborating with members of their local council, or already actively engaged with their local community (ie volunteering, advocacy, etc)
- Adult decision makers working in youth related roles across local and state governments, including Elected Members (aka Local Councillors), CEO’s, Mayors, Members of Parliament, and Council Youth Development staff.
We can have greater youth impact by working together!
Keen? What now?
