SA Youth Week

SA Youth Week (SAYW), South Australia’s biggest celebration of young people aged 12 to 25, will take place from 9 to 17 April 2026, supported by the Department of Human Services.

SAYW recognises the ideas, talents and contributions of young people in South Australia and includes a wide range of events and activities created by and for young people.

If you’re aged between 12 and 25, join us at Youth Fest, the FREE launch event for SA Youth Week.

Expect live music, a free barbecue, hands-on workshops, skateboard demos, a young makers market and more!

Showcase your creativity at the Youth Fest Makers Market

Are you into handmade crafts, love creating art and illustration, or run your own small brand or side hustle?

We’re looking for creative young people to showcase their work at the Youth Fest Makers Market. Stallholders must be available to exhibit from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm on Thursday 9 April 2026.

If you’d like to host a stall, complete this registration form to register your interest.

If you’re part of an organisation or group that is led by, or works with young people, host an SAYW event and submit it for inclusion in the SAYW calendar.

SA Youth Week 2026 grants

Grant applications have closed — 29 organisations were awarded up to $2,500 each to host events during SA Youth Week.

More than half of the projects will take place in regional and rural South Australia.
