COTA SA International Day of Older Persons | Adelaide Festival Centre

Event theme: Making the ageing experience better, together.

On Wednesday 30 September, COTA SA will host a special International Day of Older Persons celebration as part of South Australia's Week of Ageing Well, opened by the Minister for Seniors and Ageing Well, The Hon Katrine Hildyard MP.

Hear from older South Australians who have faced some of life's biggest transitions and emerged stronger, more connected, and with a renewed sense of purpose.

Through a series of short, engaging talks, speakers will share personal reflections on loss, caregiving, retirement, family responsibilities, new love and personal reinvention.

This free community event is an opportunity to challenge ageism, celebrate older South Australians and ensure they feel heard, valued and seen.

Enjoy morning tea, connect with others, and take part in an interactive workshop that will help you reflect on what matters most and identify practical actions to support your own ageing journey.

What does it mean to age well? Join us as we explore this question through the stories, experiences and insights of older South Australians.
