This special tour welcomes former steelworks and shipyard workers back to familiar ground with a dedicated Steelworks Tour, offering the chance to revisit the plant, reconnect with old memories and share stories with others who were part of Whyalla's industrial history.
Whether you worked in the steelworks, shipyards or supported industries, this is an opportunity to reflect on the people, places and experiences that helped shape Whyalla and its community.
The tour includes morning tea served in the beautiful Whyalla Maritime Museum gardens, providing time to catch up, reminisce and connect with fellow former workers.
Because our history isn't just found in buildings and machinery. It lives in the stories, friendships and experiences of the people who were there.
This tour departs from the Whyalla Visitor Centre.
We look forward to welcoming you back to familiar ground and celebrating Whyalla's rich industrial heritage.
