Event description :
This creative, hands-on workshop invites young participants to explore art, sustainability, and imagination by transforming everyday recycled materials into beautiful floral artworks. Designed for youth ages, the session encourages environmental awareness while building artistic skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Participants will begin with a short introduction about recycling, sustainability, and how artists around the world use repurposed materials to create meaningful artwork. They will then explore a variety of safe, clean recycled items such as cardboard, paper packaging, magazines, plastic bottles, bottle caps, fabric scraps, and wire.
With guidance from the facilitator, students will learn simple techniques for cutting, shaping, layering, and assembling these materials to design colorful flowers and botanical compositions. Throughout the workshop, participants will experiment with texture, colour, and form to create their own unique recycled flowers. They can design individual blooms, small bouquets, or collaborative floral murals. The session emphasises creativity, problem-solving, and self-expression, encouraging each young artist to see the artistic potential in materials that might otherwise be thrown away.
By the end of the workshop, each participant will take home their own recycled floral artwork and a deeper appreciation for how creativity can support environmental sustainability.
The workshop fosters teamwork, confidence, and ecological awareness while demonstrating that beautiful art can grow from materials we already have around us.
